The know-how group Wärtsilä will perform an upgrading project of the electrical and automation methods to make sure optimum reliability of the Kribi power plant within the Republic of Cameroon.

The order with Wärtsilä was positioned by Kribi power development company (KPDC), a subsidiary of Globeleq, an unbiased energy producer (IPP) and the owner and operator of energy producing amenities across Africa. The order might be booked in Wärtsilä’s order consumption in Q3/2022.

The project is scheduled to begin in 2023. To make sure the continuity of the plant’s output, the work will be carried out on one engine at a time. The long-term service agreement includes remote operational assist, maintenance planning, technical advisory and distant troubleshooting services, as properly as spare parts.
