Evoqua Water Technologies has entered right into a definitive agreement to acquire Smith Engineering Inc, a US designer, manufacturer and servicer of custom excessive purity water therapy tools.
Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering provides water treatment products and services, including filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, data centre, food and beverage, healthcare, medical system and microelectronics markets. The firm has greater than 1,200 prospects in North America.
Evoqua says that the acquisition will improve its portfolio of excessive purity water therapy techniques and expand its service footprint in North America.
