KSB completes growth of GIW’s Grovetown facility

KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the growth had been accredited in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger gear. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of hundreds of square ft to its foundry, elevated furnace capacity, completed building on a distribution centre, and received approval for 3 further phases of improvement.
With the completion of the venture, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its most pouring output by as much as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleaning stations for giant castings, carried out new expertise and effectivity solutions, and doubled worker locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.

GIW currently employs over 600 folks at its Grovetown facility.
